EDITORIAL POLICY
Useful information first.
DATAAD publishes clear, technically useful information for the engineers, operators, buyers and investors who work with the systems behind the AI era. This page explains how that work is produced, verified and funded.
Who writes DATAAD
DATAAD is written and edited by its founder, JB Kim, an engineer with thirty-six years of field experience across the industries this publication covers. Articles carry his byline. Outside contributions carry the contributor’s name and affiliation.
Editorial independence
DATAAD accepts no payment in exchange for editorial coverage. No advertiser, supplier or commercial partner selects topics, reviews articles before publication, or has any role in editorial conclusions.
Sourcing and verification
Technical claims are checked against manufacturer documentation, standards bodies such as OCP, government and industry statistics, published research and, wherever possible, direct observation. Key sources are linked within articles so readers can check them.
DATAAD attends industry events in person. Photographs credited to DATAAD are taken by the editor. Illustrations and conceptual images that are not photographs are identified as such.
How articles are made
Most of what DATAAD publishes comes from two sources: field reports from exhibitions, conferences and sites the editor attends in person, and contributions from engineers and industry professionals, published under their own names.
AI tools are used mainly for translation and language editing, since much of the original material is in Korean, and occasionally to assist with background research. Every article is reviewed by the editor before publication, and any error is his.
Industry submissions
DATAAD publishes Guest Commentary, Expert Insight, interviews and industry releases from people and organizations working in these fields. Each is labelled with its type and names its author and affiliation. Industry releases are identified as material provided by the organization named. Submission is free and carries no payment in either direction.
Advertising and editorial separation
Advertising and sponsored content is labelled and kept visually and editorially separate from independent reporting. Links placed on behalf of a sponsor are marked as sponsored. Details are on the Advertise page.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected when identified, and the correction is noted on the article. Technical challenges from people who work in these fields are welcome. Write to dataadcom@gmail.com or use the contact form.
Editor’s disclosure
The editor is Managing Director of CEJN Korea, a supplier of fluid connection systems. No company, including CEJN, pays for coverage or reviews articles before publication. Where CEJN is directly relevant to a story, the article says so, and DATAAD does not accept advertising from companies in which the editor holds a financial interest.
